Tomorrows Pathway to Alleviate Stress Today!

April is Stress Awareness Month. Health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country will join forces to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. We as Americans are considered to the outside world, to live a very stressful life. Between our families, jobs and life in general, we struggle and juggle with these responsibilities on a daily basis. And because our kids are sponges, they can feel all of the stress and turmoil that we experience, which can lead to a vicious cycle repeated in their lives.

God didn't promise us that the road would be easy. The more we stress, the more we should lean on and depend on Him, because He's the only one to see us through our pain. In Ephesians 6:12 the bible says: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

This scripture is powerful because if we really think about who we as people fight against, which is Satan and not ourselves, then maybe our stress load or how we perceive our stress loads to be, would be alleviated. While we are on earth it is Satan's responsibility to make our lives very stressful and difficult. If we are in this negative mindset at all times, we can't keep our minds on God and His purpose which is exactly were Satan wants us to be. Also keep in mind that God allows Satan to tempt us, not so we can live difficult lives, but so that we can go to God for the answer and the help we need.

Remember we have a choice, stress or peace. I choose peace, how about you?
